KSV 3000 System is an economical Langmuir trough system which expands from a conventional film balance to a high performance Langmuir-Blodgett
instrument. The trough and the barrier driving system are located inside a sturdy cabinet to provide a clean and disturbance free atmosphere. The electronic film balance and/or dipper head are located on top of the cabinet. The trough and
barriers are easily and fast removed for cleaning. Subphase water of the trough is controlled by running thermostated water inside the aluminium base heat plate.The heart of the system is the Interface unit with the barrier drive and the
system set-up is built around it. The configuration can be up-graded later with various accessories.
KSV 3000 is available in two fixed configurations either as a conventional film balance KSV 3000 FB
or as a Langmuir-Blodgett instrument for film depositions KSV 3000 LB. Barrier drives included in each system can be used for both single sided or symmetric compression. Although all systems include one standard trough it is
possible to use almost any kind of custom made trough (width, length, depth, symmetric or single sided compression etc.) with the different systems.
