KSV Sigma 70 - Highly Sophisticated Tensiometer

Sigma 70 is a highly sophisticated fully computer controlled and automatic tensiometer for the measurement and recording of surface and interfacial tensions (SFT & IFT), receding and advancing dynamic contact angles (DCA), determinations of surface free energy of solids (SFE), determinations of critical micelle concentration (CMC), and for the measurement of adsorption behaviour of powders and porous materials.

Sigma 70 uses Du Nouy ring or Wilhelmy plate method for force measurement with its ultra sensitive balance specially designed to meet the requirements of a highly sophisticated Tensiometer, which is even capable of characterising wetting properties of single fibers with thicknesses in the mm range.

Measuring parameters are displayed on-line in clear digits on the interface unit and graphical result presentation can be monitored at the computer screen. All experimental data is stored on the hard disk and the flexible multitasking software allows customised application development.
